We are looking for a colleague to join us as ‘Principal Representative’ (PR) at our Bank’s new ‘DIFC Representative Office’ in Dubai, which is planned to be operational by early 2025.
Job Summary:
The scope of the Representative Office and the role of its Principal Representative is to perform the following activities on behalf of ‘CEB NV Amsterdam Headoffice Corporate Banking Division’, with special focus on ‘International Commodity Trade Finance’:
- represent the Bank before regulators and local authorities in UAE,
- conduct research of the target clients in UAE and neighboring regions
- identify opportunities in UAE and neighboring regions,
- market the products and financial services of CEB NV Corporate Banking Division
Key Responsibilities
- Represent, ‘CEB NV Amsterdam Head office’ and ‘CEB NV (DIFC) Representative Office’ before UAE regulators and other local authorities.
- Implement CEB NV Corporate Banking Division’s strategy in UAE and neighboring regions, without having any execution and operation function.
- Provide periodic feedback to ‘CEB NV Amsterdam Head office Corporate Banking Division’, about; micro and macro economic environment, market trends, competitors’ products, offerings and developments, in UAE and neighboring regions .
- Facilitate improved communication between ‘CEB NV Amsterdam Head Office Corporate Banking Division’ and its existing clients in UAE and neighboring regions, without having any execution and operation function
- Market one or more financial services or financial products of ‘CEB NV Amsterdam Head office Corporate Banking Division’, to prospects in UAE and neighboring regions, for further introduction to Relationship Managers based at ‘CEB NV Amsterdam Head office Corporate Banking Division’.
- Represent ‘CEB NV Amsterdam Head office Corporate Banking Division’ at public and professional events, conferences and workshops, in UAE and neighboring regions.
- Manage the ‘Representative Office’ and coordinate all the Regulatory requirements including but not limited to tax, accounting needs, audits, inspections, landlord interactions, facilities, IT, DFSA, legal and licensing.
- To comply with all DFSA anti-money laundering ("AML") obligations under close coordination with; ‘External MLRO’ and ‘CEB NV Amsterdam Headoffice Compliance
Experience & Qualifications
- Masters/University degree/ HBO or equivalent education level.
- 10-15 years of work experience in Commodity Trade Finance and Corporate Banking
- Have strong communication and social skills.
- Results oriented, with self-motivation and ability to motivate others in the team.
- Willing to take responsibility and initiative.
- Have good knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Have an excellent command of both written & spoken English.
